Making brighter futures for people and their pets.
Adopt. Foster. Volunteer. Network. Donate.
Take part in saving animal lives and promoting a healthy community for all walks of life.
Adopting is one of the best things you can do.
When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving pet a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills, hoarders and backyard breeders that put profit before animal welfare, and keeping homeless dogs and cats off the streets.

"Daisy joined our family almost 5 months ago. She brings a joy to our world that is unlike any other. I believe the unending joy she has is because of the hip and eye surgeries Murci's Mission provided her. She can walk, she can run, she can see, and most importantly Daisy does all of these and more while sharing her story and happiness with everyone she meets! For Daisy, everyone is a friend and everything is an adventure"

"Being a foster parent for Murci’s Mission has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I know they are there to care and support not only the animals that I foster but me as well. I am confident in the work they do to find excellent forever homes for all fur babies I care for."

"I adopted Bean from Murci’s when he was 4 months old. Throughout the application process, it was clear how much they care about their animals and want them to go to proper homes. I’m grateful they kept him safe until we could meet. He is the love of my life, and I am thankful to Murci’s for bringing us together."

"Eleanor found her perfect forever home because of the dedication and care of Murci's Mission. They truly put the animals first and make sure each animal is going into a home that is right for them. We had a great adoption experience and found the perfect dog for our family. She is happy, healthy, and spoiled rotten and our lives are so much better with her at home. We would absolutely adopt from Murci's Mission again and recommend them to others."

"Mr. Hansel came into my home with his sister Gretel last year with a terrible injury. As a kitten, he managed to get a plastic soda ring around his neck/under his arm, and unfortunately he grew around it, so it cut into his skin. He came into our home frightened, hurting, and I wasn’t sure he would ever be anything but feral. But through love and determination, this guy made a full recovery…mentally and physically! His injuries took awhile to heal, but he proved to be a sweet love bug. My son decided to adopt him, and he was off to college life at WSU. Everyone loves Hansel…and we are SO grateful to those who trapped him, got him to safety, treated him, and paid for his care. We can’t save animals without the help of so many! Murci's Mission has my heart."

"Cayenne and Figaro are my two cats that I would not have if not for Murci’s Mission. Without them, Cayenne probably would not have survived another day in her hoarding situation. They worked tirelessly to nurse her back to health so that I could give her the life a cat truly deserves. Her adoptive brother Figaro came from the same hoarding situation but was born in the shelter. They became a bonded pair after I adopted them and my heart is full because of the hard work that Murci’s Mission does every day. Thank you!"

"Being in rescue myself, I couldn't be more impressed with the volunteers at Murci's Mission. Nugget entered the Mission injured on Thanksgiving night and immediately received medical attention. They took into account his injury and the nature of how it happened. Not only did they care for his medical needs they engaged him in training to ensure that he wouldn't be fearful in the future. All of this is amazing but that's not the extent of their dedication to that tiny puppy. I contacted Murci's Mission regarding adopting Nugget and we set up a meet and greet. At that time I advised Katie that my niece's dog passed 2 years prior and she had been asking for a new dog for the last year. I told her that he was going to be a surprise Christmas gift for her. Durring this discussion I could see that she was just as excited for this gift as we were. Katie volunteered to drive an hour and a half away on Christmas morning to complete the adoption and make my young nieces dream come true. I can't think of a more amazing group of volunteers, this is an amazing rescue."

"After my last kitty died I was hesitant about the cost and commitment of adopting again. I knew I’d be lonely without a cat, so I applied to foster. Sometimes all an animal needs to become someone’s perfect companion is a room in someone’s home and time to heal. Murcis takes care of vet bills, food, and litter, and there is a wonderful support system if I ever need help. If you’re concerned about having trouble letting the animals you foster go, here’s what I think every time: Murcis has done everything they can to find this animal a stable, loving home. When they move on, I get to help another cat who needs my help to change their life and find a good home. Goodbye is the goal!"

"We adopted Patagonia in May of 2021 after looking for a puppy that would fit our family. We enjoyed that Murci's Mission was very thorough in their application processes and interviews and they picked Pata for us and our active family. Pata has been to the coast, camping, tons of outings and social play dates, cafes and she is very much loved and a part of our family. I appreciate that we can always come back to the Mission for support or advice."

"Dallas most certainly would have been euthanized anywhere else. His utter lack of social skills and fear of people would have been a death sentence if you hadnt plucked him up and found someone looking to replace my last neurotic dog with another neurotic dog. The lengths Murci's Mission goes to in order to ensure a pet is in good hands is fantastic!"

"Miss Sophia is in her happy place. She loves being a farm dog and having lots of space to run. She is the smartest dog I have ever met. She loves agility type activities like jumping 'UP' on hay bales and then clearing 10 feet from bale to bale or dock diving off the bank into the pond. She enjoys playing with her rottie brother and her kitty brother. We absolutely adore her and couldn't imagine life without her!"

"We adopted Ares close to 3 years ago, and he is a great addition to our pack. Katie and Matt were fantastic through the adoption process, and set us up with information to make sure Ares transition went well. They care deeply for their adoptable pets, and want to ensure they thrive when finding their forever home."

"Our sweet Prudence has been with us for 6 months and we are so in love! She is such a sweet, independent, confident, playful, eager, happy girl! I know without a doubt that her start at Murci’s Mission, and her wonderful foster mom Kelly, were key in making her the perfect pup she is today! We feel so fortunate to have this girl and cannot thank Murcis Mission, and Kelly, enough!"
