Our Mission
Liberating animals. Educating people.
Murci's Mission is a 501c3 animal rescue, located in Mead, WA that takes animals with limited options, places them into foster care, vets them and adopts them into loving homes.
From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Q: What is a live release?
A: A live release is any animal that exits an animal welfare agency alive via adoption, transfer, TNR, return to owner etc. Any agency with a live release rate of 90% or above is considered a “no-kill” agency.
Q: How is a live release rate calculated?
A: A live release rate is the percentage of animals that depart an animal welfare agency alive, and it is calculated by dividing the total number of live releases by the total number of all intakes, including those that concluded in euthanasia or natural death.
